A "Schedule Tweet to Win"   competition - what a great idea! It means you don't need to be hovering over your computer or phone waiting for a great competition to appear, you can be at work, out shopping, or as I will be in this case, sunning yourself on holiday, while Twitter does the job for you. And it creates an even playing field - those who only get on to Twitter every now and then have the same chance as those who are around all day.

The snag is, you might not know how to schedule a tweet - and if you use the ordinary web version of Twitter, there's no option to schedule one. But there are lots of apps and websites that will help you to do it - I blogged about some of them last July. If you are just wanting to schedule a single Tweet, I recommend Future Tweets - it is very, very easy to use and all you need to do is authorise it to use your Twitter account. Nothing to download or install! But if you decide to  start scheduling tweets regularly, Tweet Deck and Hoot Suite are fantastic tools.
