Friday April 30th

This morning, the May issue of Grape Vine was posted to subscribers, so with luck most of you should get it tomorrow -I brought it forward as much as I could after seeing the weather outlook for the Bank Holiday weekend. This month's issue is absolutely crammed with comps - there are so many that I have had to leave out the Club Info and abbreviations pages, but they will be back (space permitting) next month. If you haven't renewed yet, or are thinking of subscribing for the first time, check the Grape Vine website for details of how to go about it.

I started the day off well with a small win: a voucher for a pack of MicroChips from the McCain Ping to Win competition. The post brought a book thanks to a comp I entered on Twitter and a cheque for £5 for being one of the first 100 to complete a survey. Small wins, I know, but they all help to keep up my enthusiasm.

The afternoon brought exciting news from a good comping friend and Grape Vine reader; he is one of the four winners of a trip to the South of France, with a chance for one of the four to go on to win A MILLION POUNDS! This was from a text comp on Vladivar Vodka. Please join me in wishing my friend lots of luck for the final.

This afternoon's comp-hunting trip to Sainsbury's produced two new comps on novels. One is on "Trust me, I'm a Vet" by Cathy Woodman. The prize is a family lifetime membership to the National Trust. You will need to buy a copy of the book to enter this one. The other is "The Carrie Diaries" by Candace Bushell and the prize is a trip to New York. Full details of both comps will be in the June edition of Grape Vine.

Finally, the April competition on the Grape Vine website closes at midnight tonight. The prize, as usual, is a six month subscription to the magazine, including the mid-month update which gives you up to the minute info on dozens of short notice comps. The May competition will be posted to the website over the weekend - but it may not appear on the1st of the month as I will be taking some time off to look after my gorgeous baby granddaughter over the next two days.
